I totally support you on this issue.
I am a member of QVC since 2001: all started by the misleading advertising that by attending a presentation we would be guaranteed a prize, from a list that I cannot remember now. To cut a short story long, we ended up buying timeshare, which I never wanted in the first place, but my husband convinced me that the kids were small and we would save a lot on holidays! We HAVE NEVER been able to go on holiday, where we want to go, with the kids on school holidays…there is never accommodation available!
To add insult to injury, we were approached twice after purchasing the timeshare, after been guaranteed that it was not time share and it was.
I was livid.
They phone a 3rd time and we were guaranteed a big prize ( can not remember either). I told the person that I new that it was QVC timeshare, that I already had it and to tell me the truth otherwise I would cause a scene! You guess it: it was QVC and we got the same prize as before: weekend at one of the resorts not too far from JHB which was nothing more than a mine compound near a squatter camp, which was supposed to have game drives etc. We only saw 1 bird on a fence. There was no game drive. We just slept the night as it was late and left the next day to Swaziland, as it was our 5th Wedding Anniversary!
I was furious refuse to take the prize and wrote to QVC Marketing complaining of misleading advertising and demanded that they remove my name from their telephone lists.
This has been going on for years. I get contacted by them, still denying that is QVC but tell them straight that they can keep my prize and put the phone down.
I have tried to get rid of timeshare, but they do not by it back and nobody wants it. The levies keep on going up yearly. I am now paying over R5000 a year for levies and still can not get holidays when I want to

If you need affidavits etc I will gladly feel them in to testify that I am extremely piss off with their Marketing skills and misleading advertising.
